In its illustrious 179-year history, Tiffany & Co. has invited only a handful of designers to sign their names to its jewelry. The list—Jean Schlumberger, Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso, and Frank Gehry—is as remarkable for its icons as for its brevity. So when the storied American brand recently announced a capsule collection with a new name, we were all ears. The designer in question: downtown New York jeweler Eddie Borgo. This limited edition drop features designs by Eddie Borgo in luxurious 18k yellow gold and beautiful creamy pearls. He launched his namesake costume jewelry collection in New York eight years ago; is best known for sculptural, edgy pieces like his signature (and oft-copied) spike bracelet; and has amassed an avid following that includes style arbiter Lauren Santo Domingo, model Joan Smalls, and Madonna. Borgo discussed the spirit of the collaboration and how he fits into the Tiffany lexicon. Hint: It has to do with Studio 54.
Condition: Deep dents on the back of the ring, these have been polished over but still exist.
sizing: due to the width of the ring can fit on a variety of sizes, I think max size 6, can fit on both my size 6 and 4.5 fingers.
